VPS Cloud is a virtual private server on which you can host your projects. Here you can completely customize the configuration of VPS Cloud to your needs, choosing not only the resources you need, but also the operating system you want to use.
Of course. You can easily upgrade your current VPS Cloud plan at any time by visiting the IONOS Control Center.
With shared hosting, server resources are shared between different users and the operating system is managed by the provider. With a Cloud VPS, you get root access to the operating system you choose. This means that you are the administrator and therefore need to know what you’re doing.
The Cloud VPS provider takes care of the hardware and manages the resources, which aren’t shared with others when you opt for one of the VPS Cloud solutions.
Compared to Cloud VPS, cloud servers are characterized by higher scalability and flexibility. With a cloud server, you can freely define the server size and adjust it to your needs at any time. Another important advantage is that Cloud servers are billed by the minute (pay-as-you-go), which isn’t the case with Cloud VPS. Multi-VM environments with private networks, shared VPS Cloud storage and free load balancing, for example, are further advantages of Cloud servers.
