Start your WordPress setup simply and quickly. After purchasing your Managed WordPress package, choose “Start your web project” on the confirmation page. Once you are already in the control panel — the central customer portal for your IONOS experience — you can now begin.
2
Decide what you would like your website to be called and enter it under “Title”. Next, enter your desired login details (a username and password) you will use to access your WordPress blog. Some tips for creating a strong password to ensure your blog is secure will be provided.
3
If you would like to manage the WordPress installation and take care of plugins and updates yourself, select “Continue with WordPress”. Otherwise, you can choose “Managed WordPress”, and we will take care of all the important plugins and updates for you. Either way, our setup assistant is always available.
The IONOS Setup Assistant will install the WordPress instance and all the necessary databases are set up automatically. A WordPress user is created for you and your language preferences are set. The Setup Assistant also connects the domain you've selected with your webspace directory.
If needed, you can proceed with the WordPress instance installation manually. It is also possible to perform a local installation.
You can log in to your WordPress page via “Edit Website”, using the login details you decided on earlier.
At IONOS, you have a dedicated contact person for personalized advice, tips to boost your online success, and technical support. Reach them via phone, chat and email, all at no cost to you as an IONOS customer.
If you chose the Managed Mode for the WordPress installation via the IONOS Click&Build application, security patches and updates are executed automatically. If you chose Free Mode, you are responsible for the current state of your WordPress installation.
However, WordPress will keep you informed by email if there is a new update available in order to keep your blog up-to-date. The update itself is easy to carry out with just a few clicks in the administration menu of your blog.
We may still have the ideal solution for you.
