Integrate Sectigo (SSL) Website Seal on Website

If you have secured your domain with an Instant SSL certificate from Sectigo, you can embed a security seal from Sectigo on your website.
The seal signals to visitors that their data is transmitted securely in encrypted form and creates trust.
Sectigo is a leading provider of digital certificates and has been our new SSL partner for IONOS SSL certificates since 1 October 2024.
Prerequisites
- You have secured your domain with an Instant SSL certificate from Sectigo.
- You have access to the source code of your website and can edit it.
- You have basic knowledge of HTML.
Embedding the Seal on the Website
To embed the seal in your website, first download the seal file from your IONOS account. The seal file contains the embedding code for the seal, which consists of Javascript/HTML code. To display the seal on your website, insert the embedding code into the source code of your website.
Step 1: Download the seal file
- Log in to your IONOS account log in.
- In the title bar, click on Menu> Domain & SSL.
- Click on the domain for which you want to set up the seal.
- For SSL certificate, click on Manage. The certificate information is displayed.
- Click on the tab Advanced settings.
- In the Site Seal setting, click on Download.
The seal file is saved in the download directory of your browser.
Step 2: Integrate the seal into the website
Open the downloaded seal file with a text editor.
You will now see two code blocks with Javascript/HTML code, each preceded by a comment.Copy the first code block and insert it into the source code of your website before the closing </head> tag.
Copy the second code block and paste it into the source code of your website before the closing </body> tag.
The seal will now be displayed on your website.
