Showing the initial password for a server

For VPS, Cloud Servers, migrated Cloud Servers, Dedicated Servers, and Server Power Deals that are managed in the Cloud Panel

In this article you will learn how to display the initial password assigned during server creation in the Cloud Panel.

Requirements

  • You have created a VPS, Cloud Server, or Dedicated Server with an IONOS image or with an image from the Applications area.

  • You have not entered your own password when selecting the configuration in the Additional settings area during creation.

Note

If you set your own password when creating the Cloud Server, or have changed the automatically assigned initial password, the password will not be shown in the Cloud Panel.

  • Log in to your IONOS account.

  • Click on the  Server & Cloud tile. If you have multiple server contracts, select the desired contract.

  • Click on the desired server.

  • Click on Show password in the Initial password area.

The password is displayed.
