Do you need a particularly powerful database for your project? In this case, a performance database could be the right solution for you.
What are performance databases?
Performance databases are optional databases for web hosting packages. They offer more storage space and a higher maximum number of parallel client connections than standard databases. This ensures that your website continues to respond quickly even with many visitors.
In the following table you will find a comparison between standard and performance databases:

Order performance database
How to add a performance database to your contract:
- Log in to your IONOS account.
- In the title bar, click on Menu>Hosting.
- If you have several contracts: Select the contract to which the database is to be added.
- In the Databases tile, click on Manage.
- Click on Create database.
The page "Create database: Want more power?" is displayed and you can choose from various options. - For the Performance | 5 GB option, click on Order.
- To order the Performance database binding, click on Buy now.
The performance database is immediately added to your contract. You will then be automatically redirected to the database creation dialogue. If you want to create the database at a later date, you can cancel the creation and repeat it at any time.
