Change ASP.NET Framework Version

This guide is only applicable to the classic .NET Framework, which has not been further developed since version 4.8. Since November 2020, .NET (without the name Core) serves as a unified successor to .NET Core (an open-source implementation of .NET) and .NET Framework.

For Windows Web Hosting packages
Learn how to change the version of ASP.NET Framework used for your hosting package.
- Log in to your IONOS account.
- Click Menu > Hosting in the title bar. If you have multiple contracts, select the desired Hosting contract.
- Click Use Webspace to access Webfiles.
- Click Launch to launch Webfiles.
- Click File > .NET Framework.
- Select the version of .NET you would like to use and then click Apply.
You are finished. The version change will take effect immediately.
